| I am a Certified Educational Planner (American Institute of Certified Educational Planners) based in Southern California. I have worked with students and families in one capacity or another for my entire career. Before becoming an Independent Educational Consultant, I served as a high school-based College Counselor in Temecula, CA. Working privately with students allows me to individualize the self-discovery process that goes along with college and career exploration. Every student comes to me with a different agenda and a unique set of goals. They also come to me with their own set of challenges…anxiety, ADHD, depression, family dysfunction, learning challenges, and a host of other issues. The opportunity to get to know a student over many one-on-one interactions allows me to make strategic recommendations about colleges or other pathways. I empower students to invest in the research process in order to make the best decision possible about where they want to go and what supports they need to have in place for their success. I support students and families from the discovery process and application completion to enrollment decisions and beyond. I am not here to do the work for your student but to provide accountability and encouragement as we work together to create the most comprehensive and authentic application package possible. I am currently a member a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association and a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association. I have previously been a Licensed Professional Counselor (CO) and a Nationally Certified Counselor. |
